The Downtown Area of Huntington Beach is one of more requested areas to live, especially for those looking for a rental property.  There is so much to do Downtown with some really great restaurants, retail shopping and all of the activity that can be found area the Huntington Beach Pier.  Many properties that are advertised in Huntington Beach will often quote how long it takes to get to the downtown area and that's how popular this area can be.  As you can expect, Real Estate prices don't come cheap here as many of these homes rent for more than $3,000 a month with a mixture of long term 12 month rentals and some vacation properties.

One of the more desirable places to live in Huntington Beach is the downtown area. Within the downtown area is a complex known as Townsquare Condos that offers a nice selection of residential condos that is located approximately 4 blocks to the beach. The area is well known for it's weekly Farmer's market that is held there every Tuesday night. The condos tend to be very well priced for a property located close to the beach. Real Estate prices in the past year sold for as low as $539,000 for a one bedroom unit with 838 square feet. The most expensive unit sold for $687,5000 and was a two bedroom unit with 1,067 square feet. The Downtown Huntington Beach area offers many ocean view homes that are typically found north of the Huntington Beach Pier area.  The downtown area is considered by some to be the most desirable part of town that is near the major retail shops and restaurants.  The Huntington Beach Pier is the beginning point of the downtown area and continues over 20 blocks inland.  Since the area is primarily on flat land, the majority of ocean view properties are found directly on Pacific Coast Highway which is the closest street to the ocean as well as one to two streets back.

If you are looking to buy a condo near the Huntington Beach Pier then plan to spend anywhere from $350,000 to $750,000 for one to two bedroom condo.  This is considered the prime downtown area which is the hub of Huntington Beach.  Plaza Almeria, Huntington Bayshore, Townsquare Condos, Pier Colony, Huntington Pacific are just some of the condo buildings you will find near the Huntington Beach Pier.   The closest to the beach are the Pier Colony and Huntington Pacific buildings where supringsly you can get a one bedroom condo in the $400,000 range.  The Pacific sits directly on the sandy beach and is one of the rare condo buildings that is located on the sand in Huntington Beach.
