Huntington Beach has a wide variety of properties which include some really great historic properties dating back to the early 1910's. The large majority of these homes can be found near the Huntington Beach Pier area which is considered prime real estate in Huntington Beach. We have some clients who are specifically looking to rent these older homes as they have a lot of charm to them and they do come up for lease from time to time. There are a couple things to understand before renting a historic home in Huntington Beach and will be explained here.
First, for the most part all of these types of homes are traditionally rented out on a long term basis. Normally this is a 12 month lease to start and then it goes month-to-month after that unless you do another year lease. We receive a lot of vacation rental calls so these types of properties would typically not be the kind of home that would do short term rentals. For example, there is currently a vacation rental property 305 11th Street that is looking for a 12 month lease with the rent including trash collection, gardener and water. It is a one bedroom plus one loft bungalow style home that is listed for lease at $3,600 a month. Keep in mind that many of the historic homes in Huntington Beach are on the small size so don't expect to find some large historic estate here.
